Beautiful Capitola, also known as Capitola-by-the-Sea is located on Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz County. Roughly 70 miles South of San Francisco and 35 miles North of Monterey.
Downtown Santa Cruz is to the West and both New Brighton State Beach and Seacliff State
Beach are to the East.
Capitola offers recreational surfing in the Bay with beautiful rocky and sandy beaches.
Surfers wear wetsuits most of the year however; the suit can be optional in warmer summer months! The Capitola surfing scene allows everyone to join in the fun, and pursue their
passion for surfing. Men, women, children as well as students at the University of Santa Cruz promotes and enjoys the activity! Just about any day of the year you will see
surfers catching waves.
